Lycian Tombs, Dalyan River.
An ideal way to have a lay day during your holiday from the bay of Ekincik or if on your last day you have a late flight we can organise a 1/2 or full day trip by boat on the Dalyan River with a guide. Depending on the time available it is possible to visit the Caunos ruins, Turkish Mud baths, Turtle beach, swim in the freshwater lake and enjoy a leisurely lunch or any combination of these. 1/2 or Full Day Tour
Turtle Beach
The long sandy beach at the mouth of the Dalyan river is one of the breeding grounds for the loggerhead turtle. As they are a protected species this is a wildlife conservation area and can only be visited in daylight hours however, you may still be lucky enough to see a turtle or their tracks on the beach after they have laid their eggs.
Kara Koyu Village
Kara Koyu was deserted by the Greeks in 1923 as a result of an agreement between the Turkish & Greek Governments, with citizens of each Country returning to their motherland. The village can be reached either by transport from Fethiye or for the energetic it is a walk from Cold Water Bay.
Carpet Weavers Association - Fethiye/Turgutkoy/Milas
You may be interested to learn how carpets are traditionally made. See the method of silk extraction, use of natural dyes and weaving on a loom. This will be followed by a spectacular carpet show. At the end of which they may try and sell you a carpet!!! |
